New Geophysical Capabilities at Earth Systems
The Earth Systems group of companies has increased their geophysical capabilities by the addition of ReMi surveys. ReMi (refraction micro-tremor) is a seismic method developed by Optim Software of Reno, Nevada. It is used for estimating shear-wave velocities down to depths of 300 feet or more. The technology enables rapid data acquisition and analysis, and can be employed in areas often inaccessible to a drill rig.
For a more detailed profile of this development, please see the Earth Systems newsletter, Consultants’ Corner (summer, 2007).
