Student Support and Multipurpose Rooms,
Arroyo Grande, California
The Student Support and Multipurpose Rooms will be approximately 11,000 and 13,000 square feet respectively, and are single-story with conventional continuous and spread foundations as well as concrete slabs-on-grade. They will be of masonry, structural steel, and stud construction. The new structures will replace the previous Administration/Multi-Use building. The project also involves landscaping and exterior pedestrian walkways composed of Portland cement and asphalt concrete.
Earth Systems Pacific performed a soils engineering investigation entailing site reconnaissance, subsurface exploration, laboratory testing, and geotechnical engineering evaluation of the data collected. Preliminary geotechnical recommendations were provided to guide the development of project plans and specifications. Construction began in November of 2006, with Phase III of the renovation beginning in June of 2007.
Our technicians and inspectors are performing compaction testing, certifications of grading and backfill operations, concrete sampling and testing, and inspection of masonry, structural steel, and epoxy anchor bolts. |
