The project involved the construction of Administration Building with a footprint of up to 10,500 square feet, and three smaller classroom buildings. A grass and flatwork quad area, parking lots, an emergency access road, a maintenance building, and play fields, play courts, and spectator bleachers are also included. The buildings are of wood, masonry, and steel frame construction, with conventional continuous and spread foundations with concrete slabs-on-grade.
Our geologic hazards report addressed liquefaction, flooding, and slope stability. Our soils engineering investigation entailed subsurface exploration, laboratory testing of soil samples, geotechnical engineering analysis, and the development of recommendation for the preparation and grading of the site, for utility trenches, foundations and slabs-on-grade, retaining walls, exterior flatwork, pavement sections, drainage, and construction testing and inspection.
During construction, Earth Systems company’s personnel provided quality control testing for site development and foundation construction. We also provided inspection and testing for structural concrete, shop and field structural welding inspection, structural masonry inspection, and wedge anchor bolt proof load testing.
