Encompassing approximately 30 acres on the San Luis Obispo campus of Cal Poly State University, the
Poly
Canyon
Village
project will provide 2,677 beds in an apartment-style student community. Nine residential buildings and two parking structures are planned, along with additional agricultural buildings, roads, retaining walls, and other appurtenant improvements.
The residential buildings will be five-story, Type II construction, with retail space on the first floor of three of the buildings. The parking structures will be four stories of cast-in-place concrete construction, with approximately 950 parking spaces each.
The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 will encompass the project sitework, demolition of existing agricultural buildings, construction of new metal agriculture buildings, and construction of two parking structures and four residential buildings. Phase 2 will comprise the construction of five residential buildings.
Construction began in 2005 and will continue through 2009. Construction monitoring, and testing and inspection services which Earth Systems Pacific’s certified technicians and inspectors are providing during the course of the project include:

Concrete mix designs and review of contractor submittals will be provided by our registered geotechnical professionals.
