Air Force Plant 42 Runway Expansion, Palmdale California
Air Force Plant 42 is a testing facility for new aircraft including the B-1, B-2, F-117, and Blackbird. Expansion of the existing facilities involved the construction of new runways and refurbishing of existing runways. Our mobile asphalt laboratory was used on-site during construction to expedite test turn-around time.
Services provided:
- contractor quality control,
- asphalt concrete mix designs,
- laboratory conformance testing of aggregates and oils,
- and field laboratory quality control during asphalt concrete placement.
