Pine Tree Wind Energy Project
Kern County, California

A planned 120-megawatt wind energy facility, the Pine Tree Wind Energy Project will feature 80 GE 1.5-megawatt turbines supported on 65-meter monopole towers.  Located in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, the site is an area of high seismicity. Patrick and Henderson proprietary foundations will be used for support of the towers.

Construction will begin in March of 2008, and Earth Systems is on the design/build team. Our services to date include: a geologic and seismic hazards feasibility report, support services for a preliminary geotechnical report, a report of bearing capacity of road and crane pads, and engineering design support calculations.
